Dumb Thing

 My room mate did a really dumb thing she gave my dog some Coolers and got her drunk so that the next few hours every time she walked all four legs went in different directions.

 She bumped her head a few times and her breath smelled like had been boozing it and we found out that small dogs can not hold their liquer.

 Needless to say that she slept like the dead last night.

 She's fine this morning.

 I was quite upset with my room mate.

Acting Weird

 My dog is back to acting weird again.

 She has stoped sleeping with  me and now sleeps upstairs in front of her window and it doesn't matter what time we go to bed at she has me up at seven for her little puppy walks.

 Or I should say drag since she always walks behind me (the leash length)

 She is a funny dog on walks if somebody comes up behind us she completely freezes until that person is in front of us and then she will continue on her merry puppy way.

 And then as soon as we get home she is like okay its nap time a nap that she wants me to also take.

 I don't mind her not sleeping with me it is the fact that she wouldn't let me sleep.

 She wants up on my bed, so I turn on the light and she jumps up and as soon as the light goes off she inches her way off the bed and disappears and then reappears wanting back up and then the whole thing starts all over agian.

 It makes me want to scream.

 I love her dearly but I do need my sleep in order to function the next day.

 And I can't scold her I just look into her brown eyes and I am lost.

 She has me twisted around her little paw and she knows it.

Puppy Traps

 Little every where I turn I find a puppy trap built by my dog I don't know what these traps are for.

 Though I swear she's out to get me.

 She leaves these traps in all the door ways.

 She's either trying to protect her house from out side influences or inside wither it is from the living or the dead she continues to build her trapps and I continue to destroy them.

 Maybe there is no meaning behind these traps maybe they are just something for her to do because she is board so she thought up a new game to keep her self entertained while mommy is at work. Instead of mouse trap the game it is human trap and same basic rules apply.

 It is funny that she started acting this way just after the blue moon.

 I swear the moon does funny things to animals just like it does to humans.

 Or maybe these traps make her feel just a little bit safer after all she is not a guard dog.  Nor would she every make it as a guard dog and that is just fine with me.

Animals and Moon Cycles

 I wonder if animals like humans are affected by the cycle of the moon.

 I noticed that when we were having the red moon was when my little girl was acting strange since the cycles have began to act naturally so has my dog.

 I wonder if any studies have been done on this subject. Personally I think it would be a fantastic study and if I were an actually science dude or I had the money I think I would look more deeply into this.

 Do animals get as wacked out as people during the full moon?

 My guess is yes since animals play off our emotions then they to would have to be affected by the cycle of the moon.

 I think the next full moon I am going to watch me dog closely and see if there are any changes in her normal behavior or what passes as her normal behavior.

 I think I will start a journal and see if there is a same pattern everytime that there is a full moon or any kind of change in the moon cycle like there was with the red moon.

 I think that my dog would make an interesting subject for this experiment and I don't think she would mine to much since she likes attention especially when she can't sleep I can't sleep because all she wants to do is play.

 Can't really blame her since I know what its like when one can't sleep it gets really boring just laying there so when must get up and do something until one can sleep.

 And since a dog can't entertain themselves because of their short attention spans they need help from their human friends.

 Even when I play with her she loses attention real fast.

Acting Funny

 My dog has been acting funny lately. She is suffering from insomnia and she is keeping me awake at night.

 She has her own puppy bed on my bed and she usually sleeps there.

 But the last few nights she has been sleeping right up against me when she sleeps its almost like she's trying to get inside of me.

 Then there is the making me go up and down the stairs to let her out like twenty times. I let her out and she turns around and comes right back in then we nestle up again and a few seconds thats right not minutes but seconds she is back up wanting outside again.

 Or she is pacing around the house. She can get off the bed okay in the dark she just can't get back on so it becomes like a game she comes near the bed and I turn on the light then she scurries away. I shut off the light and she scurries back to the bed I turn on the light and it happens all over again.

 Finally she realizes that I am  not in the mood to play so she jumps on the bed and takes forever to find the perfect spot.

 This only happens during moon cycles and weather changes. The weather because it is to cold to go for walks so she gets cabin fever.

Animal personalities

Puppy Blues

Puppies are cute and adorible and they are complete pains I forgot how frustrating puppies could be until my roommate brought home her boyfriends puppy for a week.

 Needless to say my dog isn't very  happy with this and if truth be told neither am I. I just have to much on my plate right now to go through the puppy faze all over again. And my roommate isn't the responsible type of person all she thinks about is herself. She's the type who brings home animals because they are cute then its up to the people around her to do all the work.

 Since the puppy has arrived I have to look after and cleanup after it and all the fun things dog owners have to do.

 My dog is stressed and I'm stressed. It wouldn't be to bad if my roommate actually helped out and when I tell her this her only reply is it is just a puppy remember when your dog was just puppy.

 Yeah and I swore then that I was through with the puppy stage for good. My next dog is going to be at least one before I adopt it.

 I love puppys as long as they are someone elses and I can ohh and ahhh over it and then give it back to its master.

 I am the first to admit that I don't have the patience for a puppy. Its no fair to the dog and it is no fair to me.

 I think what really upset me besides the fact that I am constantly cleaning up messes and I don't mean toys.......all you dog owners know what I am talking about. The puppy ate some of my project for work and tore the rest of it and it is due in a day and a half.  It almost broke my favourite watch that I just recently bought in California and which I can not get in canada. And it tryed to eat my glasses while they were still on my face.

 I'm going to have to charge my roommates boyfriend hazzard pay. That dog is always underfoot I almost tripped on her and busted my ankle instead I just badly bruised it.

 Don't get me wrong she is a beautiful dog its not her fault that she is a breed that does not really fit into our lifestyle.

 She has a very interesting history.....She is a resuced dog her mother and her brother's and sister's froze to death she was a sole survivor.
